Wow Barbara, that's tough that your husband has RA as well! How long has he had it?
The standard treatment now is to treat RA early with a combination of DMARDs so I hope you get something else prescribed soon.
Hang on in there, don't call it quits, you will get there in the end!

Love, Doreen xx

Hi, do you and your hubby see the same consultant? Do you go with him to his appts? I wondered if it was the same consultant and he saw you together, he might realise how tricky things are, with you both having RA. Also he would realise you know how well the meds should be working, as they work well for your hubby, if that makes sense Confused It is so annoying having to wait for ages for appt and then for meds to kick in. Maybe you could ask for a steroid jab to tide you over? It is so demanding physically looking after small children, but so rewarding and enjoyable. I really hope an acceptable solution can be found!

Hi Barb

I'm so sorry to hear that your hubby has RA too. It must be so difficult but I am pleased he is doing well on his drugs.

Take care and keep us posted on how things go.

Much love

Dear Barbara,

I am very sad to hear your hubby has RA too. That is very hard on you both.

I wonder if you should try and see someone else, after all you're not being given the treatment you deserve.

Much love and prayers,
Amanda

Hi Barbara

You are having a really hard time at the moment, especially with your husband having RA as well. I think sometimes that you have a "honeymoon period" after you are dx, when you have the jumbo prednisolone injection, and you feel all is well, Then there is a while to figure out which meds and what dosage you need to keep you feeling fairly well. I know I've had some failures with drugs along the way, but now enbrel is working fairly well for me. What I mean to say is that don 't give up hope, there will be something to suit you. But in the meantime you need decent painkillers to help you cope. I find that amitriptyline really helps me, along with Tramadol.

I hope you get some satisfaction soon.

Lyn
